  1. Thank you soooooo much !!!!!! First for being a wonderful daughter-in- law !!!! Second for a great dinner!!!! Third for transforming a dresser into a beautiful piece of furniture. I love it, the color is perfect , great job. You can start on the next one :)))) Lots of love

  2. You know, I think I would go with a pure white base that is as close to the white in the marble as possible. I like it this color but I think it would even be better white, white.I have never heard of anyone painting marble, much less getting it off and you did a fabulous job. You should get a hearty pat on the back for that accomplishment. It looks beautiful. Oh, and the styling is really good, Lindsey.

  3. First-time visitor coming over from MMS. Beautiful! I LOVE your staging skills and photography!!! I think you will drive yourself nuts trying to match the white, so why not paint the chest a contrasting color? Maybe blue or tan? That would make the white marble pop.

    1. Thanks so much, Susan!! Thankfully my mother-in-law loved it “as-is” and it’s now resting comfortably in their cottage. But now that you mention doing a contrasting color, it’s really got me thinking… I do have a very similar piece (identical, except without the candle holders) that I might have to try using some color with – I’m thinking a nice robin’s egg blue! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

  4. It is beautiful as is! I actually just bought almost the exact same piece – except mine did not come with a marble top unfortunately. I love your transformation and the marble is gorgeous – you did a fabulous job!
