Hi, I’m Lindsey!
Hey! Its me, Lindsey, with Lindsey Vogel Design. I’ve been taking up space here in this little corner of the universe since 2009 when I grabbed an old, rickety wardrobe off the curb in front of my sorority house on graduation day, painted it, and sold it for a profit on Craigslist… but you could say I’ve been creating long before that! Like the time when I was single digits old and stole all of my mom’s OPI nail polish and used each bottle to painstaking paint my hand-me-down mahogany claw foot nightstand in a red, mauve and pink ombre style — or the time I painted her faux brick kitchen backsplash from red to a german schmear style when I was 16 and she was away at a baseball tournament for my little brother. To say fixing things up is my love language…. well that might be an understatement! From furniture on the curb to antiques pulled out of crates at a yard sale to hand-me-down from old family and friends, I could just never seem to say no!
Almost 2 decades later and I’m still here picking, pulling, painting, sanding furniture and sharing it all along the way. I just love to salvage other people’s garbage, I love to paint, I love to tinker with wood and most importantly, I love to share the pleasure in that moment when you put that perfect piece of furniture in place and step back and just feel it! I’ve worked on hundreds of pieces over the last 13 or so years but every time feels like the first time. I feel so much gratitude that I have the chance to do something so soul-fulfilling every day (even though I’m known to take a long hiatus every so often!) thanks for being here and being a witness and supporter to my art!
