My Love Affair with Wedgewood

It all started with one dollar… and I was hooked.

The only thing that cost me a dollar during this whole process was probably the drop cloth I used to wrap up the finished pieces, and chances are that cost me more than that. Anyway, of course when I saw “older” and “victorian” and “grandparents” I knew that I needed this.

I never got any great before shots. But this is what I was able to find:

photo 3 photo 4 photo 5I sent Jeff and one of his buds, Mike, to pick up this set with a trailer and when it came back I had what I’d like to call a moment of panic. Besides the fact that Jeff was PISSED that he had to carry it, the set is HUGE. and HEAVY. and OLD.

6 months, lots of paint, sweat and labor later and the set is finally complete. It’s now for sale at $1,150 for the set.

I’d love to write something beautiful about this set, but honestly, it has sucked the life out of me and I’m ready to say goodbye. Here’s the finished product:
