gold & marble, marble & gold

hacking is the name of the game today. Ikea hacking to be specific. If you’ve been on Pinterest you’ve probably seen the millions of ways people creatively “hack” the classic Ikea staples. I’ve had my eye on the VITTSJÖ nesting tables ever since my friend Julie picked them up a few years ago after Kristin from Hunter Interior did the BEST Ikea hack of all time involving two pretty cool design trends: gold & marble. You can see it here. 
So I’ve had this set of nesting tables sitting in my basement for awhile but finally got a chance hack em! Here’s the before:

A little gold spray paint and marble contact paper goes such a LOOOOOONG way! Oh, and you can’t forget Tessie aka my little photo hog… she follows me around to make sure she gets her silly paws in every picture!
