POP!
Hi!
So…camera cord is still MIA. UGH! This means I’m only able to share a brief before & after of a recent flip with ya courtesy of my Instagram – so IG followers, I’m afraid this won’t be anything new. Boo. Anyway, I picked this purty little dresser up from The Habitat For Humanity ReStore in Toms River, NJ and left it in one of the barns for about 6 months before I got around to rehabbing it. Funny story: as I was prepping this piece for paint, I just couldn’t stop sneezing and wheezing! The next day my father-in-law points out that I had left the dresser in the barn with all of the cats (I am extremely allergic) so I was basically rubbin’ all up on cat dander. No wonder! FUN!
Now for the stuff you really came for… Here’s the before (in it’s crack errr cat den heaven)
And here is the baby with the pop of blue!
Achu! Well worth it though! The top got sanded and restained + polyed. I was really hoping to do the body in Annie Sloan’s Napoleonic Blue, but I wanted to do a quick turn around before Mexico (which didn’t happen, boo) so I stuck with Old White. I FINALLY get to use my sample pot of Greek Blue. It’s cute as an accent, but I don’t think I’ll be using it for anything maj any time soon. I also stocked up on Annie Sloan’s Emperor’s Silk, Graphite, English Yellow AND Barcelona Orange for my birthday so I’m pretty excited to give those a try – along with my new drill, sander, tool box and other goodies!
