a big room makeover for a big girl!

hi friends! Tonight’s post will be short & sweet as I’ve got to hit the hay early tonight. I’ve been battling this cold that will never end for the last week or so and the only thing that seems to be helping is lots and lots of extra sleep. I’m hoping that both the weather and my cold will clear up soon… I’m itching to get back into my workshop!
Today’s post is actually one that’s been in the archives for almost a year! This bedroom set originally belonged to one of Jeff’s best friends, Ed, and his lovely wife Denise. Ed & Denise were one of our first (and one of my favorite) couple friends. Even though we live a fair distance apart, it’s always such a blast when we get together. Don’t you love friendships like that? They are so few and far between!

Ed & Denise have the most beautiful little girl, Nora. I mean really. Nora and her baby brother Owen are like little baby dolls. So so adorable. When Denise reached out and said they were thinking of moving some furniture around to make room for new baby Owen, I was more than happy to help her transform their Broyhill Fontana bedroom set into something perfect for their growing baby girl!

Here are two “before” shots:

The set came with 2 nightstands, a head & footboard and matching dresser and mirror. After some back and forth, Denise decided to go with a creamy grey… the perfect neutral that can grow with Nora well into her teen years.

The first thing I did was pry off the appliqués. They needed the boot! I replaced them with beautiful custom rose swags on the headboard, footboard and mirror. The dresser and nightstand drawer fronts got smaller swags and glass flower knobs. Here’s a look at the set in Nora’s beautiful room:

The colors in the room are so adorable that I won’t lie, it gave me the LITTLEST bit of baby fever. Not to fear, that was cleared right up when I took my daily dose of cold medicine ;)

Off to bed my friends!

All my love,

LV xoxo
